L'Université autrement : Dans les cafés crée des lieux de rencontre et les met à la disposition des citoyens intéressés à continuer d'apprendre ou d'approfondir leur engagement à la faveur de discussions publiques et collectives. Ces cafés permettent à des individus de divers horizons et réalités de se rencontrer, dans un cadre où tous les gens et toutes les perspectives sont les bienvenus.
The University of the Streets Café creates gathering places for community members to pursue lifelong learning and engagement in the form of collective discussions. They are an opportunity for people of diverse backgrounds and realities to meet, where all people and perspectives are welcome.
Language:
Conversations are a very informal, Montreal-style bilingual. This means that each person is welcome to speak in either English or French – whichever language is the most comfortable to them. If you don’t understand one of these languages please let the moderator know and we will try to buddy you up with someone who can translate.
Punctuality:
Conversations are people-centred: so people need to be there for a conversation to start! Please be on time or, even better, arrive early and get a really good seat.
Registration:
Most conversations do not require registration. When a conversation does require advance registration it will be clearly indicated on all materials.
Cost:
All conversations, without exception, are free. However, donations are very appreciated!
